Thaddeus “Ted” Lazarz
Thaddeus “Ted” Lazarz, age 79, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at The Pearl of Orchard Valley in Aurora. He was born on May 25, 1946 in Gary, IN, to the late Thaddeus S. and Martha (nee Limpus) Lazarz.

Ted retired from District 230 after 25 years of teaching shop at Sandburg and Stagg High Schools. He found great joy in tending to his garden and working with his hands on woodworking projects. Family meant everything to him. He was a wonderful and devoted grandfather who cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. Ted also enjoyed taking his beloved dog, Mina, on walks, enjoying the outdoors together.
Ted is survived by his loving wife, Christine; children, Andrew (Anna) Lazarz, Sarah (Jaimie) Lazarz, Jennifer (John) Davis, and Anthony (Krystin) Lazarz; grandchildren, Johnny, Abigail, Joseph, and Zoe; siblings, Jeannine Bailey, Tom Lazarz, Mary (Ray) Kloss, Tim (Rita) Lazarz, Peggy Lobato, Judy (Chris) Weathers, and Joe (Aissa) Lazarz; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Thaddeus “Ted” Lazarz will be held on Monday, March 16, 2026 at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., Joliet, IL from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Due to his request, cremation rites will be accorded following the services.
