Talk about a whirlwind couple of days.
Shorewood Christ Academy student and Channahon resident Dustin Walker is wrapping up a huge summer in style. The teen rocker released his first CD (Between the Lines) on July 26. Then, on July 27, he performed as the opening act for his “Uncle” Rick Springfield when the two performed at the Midland Theater in Kansas City, Mo.

Walker—plastic guitar in hand—first met Springfield when he was called up on stage at a concert at the age of 2. Now, at the age of 17, he’s a singer/songwriter himself and well on his way to a big future in the music industry.
