A welcome to Dr. Paul Schrik, farewell to retiring Superintendent Dr. Todd Koehl
The Troy 30-C Board of Education is inviting the public to welcome incoming Superintendent Dr. Paul Schrik and give their best to retiring Superintendent Dr. Todd Koehl at an open house on Wednesday, June 15, 6 - 6:45 pm.
The event will be held at the Troy Middle School gymnasium, 5800 W. Theodore Street, Plainfield. Guests may enter Door 6.
The school board president and board members will make brief statements of congratulations to both superintendents, then guests will have time to interact with them.
Troy 30-C School Board President Mark Griglione said the board welcomes guests to this celebration of the transition in leadership in the district. The unanimous vote approving Schrik’s appointment reflects the confidence and excitement the board has with the appointment, he said.
Schrik is currently superintendent of Rockdale School District 84 and was previously Troy’s Human Resources Executive Director. He has also served as principal of Serena Grade School, Shepherd Middle School science and social studies teacher, Washington Elementary School junior high mathematics teacher and Ogden Avenue School 6th grade teacher.
He earned his Doctorate of Education Degree from Northern Illinois University in 2017. Schrik also has his Education Specialist Degree, his Chief School Business Official certificate, and his Masters of Educational Administration degree.
His tenure at Troy begins July 1.
Retiring Superintendent Koehl has served in his Troy position for eight years.
