Residents Lose Power; Not Storm-Related
About 1,600 residents in Channahon and Minooka found themselves without power Tuesday morning, after a truck snagged a line.

Residents in Channahon and Minooka were grateful that, for the most part, they survived the last round of storms to hit the area without losing power. But that story changed Tuesday morning when 1,600 residents were without power after a truck snagged a feeder line.
"A feeder line is a power line that supplies circuits with the main supply of current," John Schoen, ComEd spokesperson said.
ComEd is reporting that the truck hit the line at Ridge Road and Route 6, although residents reported the incident was at Ridge Road and Misty Creek Drive.
