Ribbon Cutting at the Braidwood McDonald's

The newly remodeled McDonald's in Braidwood celebrated their Grand Re-Opening with a Ribbon Cutting and VIP Party on July 11th

The newly remodeled McDonald's located at 284 N. Front St. celebrated their grand re-opening with a ribbon cutting, cake cutting and VIP party on Wednesday night, July 11th. Marvin Spence, Owner-Operator, is proud to bring Braidwood an upscale new McDonald's for the community to enjoy for years to come.

At the VIP party, Marvin Spence welcomed friends, colleagues, City employees, Braidwood Chamber members, and Braidwood Baseball/Softball Association, for a special grand re-opening VIP event. First and most importantly, was a presentation made by State Representative David Allen Welter who spoke of how happy he is that Marvin Spence is reinvesting in this great Community. Mayor Vehrs also spoke at the event and told Marvin how thrilled they are to have him at this location and how happy they are about the sales tax he brings to the community. Greg Ridenour the Field Representative to Congressman Kinzinger also spoke and read a beautiful letter to Marvin that the Congressman wrote. Marvin Spence was honored to have State Representative Welter, Mayor Vehrs, and Greg Ridenour to share in this celebration. Also, in attendance was many City employees, many Braidwood Chamber Members and many other Braidwood community VIP's.

Making this event more memorable was the attendance of a few players from the Braidwood Baseball/Softball Association Team, along with President Jerry Curl and Assistant Coach Niki Micheletto. Marvin Spence is honored to sponsor such a great group of young players and their amazing coaches, Head coach Jeramy Reeb was not able to attend this event. The evening featured complimentary McDonald's appetizers, smoothies, frappes, and of course the cake.
