Ridge Road in Minooka to Get Speed Limit Change

Over the past three years, police have seen an increase in accidents.

The speed limit on Ridge Road in Minooka from Brannick Route to Route 6 will be decreased from 45 mph to 40.

The Grundy County Board voted unanimously Tuesday night to make the change, according to The Herald-News.

“In the last three years we’ve seen an increase in crashes at the intersection of Ridge Road and Misty Creek Drive,” Minooka Police Chief Justin Meyer told the paper in a phone interview before the meeting. “We hope this will reduce the number of accidents.”
