Strawberry Soup Alone is Worth the Visit to Lettie Mae's
Morris Tea Room has decor to make you feel comfortable, tea to quench your thirst and food to feed your soul.
in Morris is adorable. That is the first impression I got at the cafe. It's decor is shabby chic, which I love and the tables are cute, intimate numbers. The menu is under the glass on the table, where you can order without getting the menu dirty.
The first thing that came to the table was the iced tea. It was fantastic. They have a different flavored tea every day at the restaurant. Then we ordered lunch. I went to Lettie Mae's with and . We were having a casual meeting and this was the perfect place to do it.
I ordered a Ellen's Vegetarian, which is a wrap, but I ordered mine minus the wrap. They were very accommodating on the weird request. The best part about it was the artichoke red pepper spread. Because I ordered mine without the wrap, I could dip my veggies and my chips in it and I still had enough to bring some home for a later treat. Both of my companions had Aunt Bird's Hawaiian Wrap. Both ladies raved about it. The wrap has ham, pineapple and cream cheese. In addition to raving about the wrap, both women ordered and enjoyed the strawberry soup.

The strawberry soup is a cold, sweet soup. I tried it and it's not my thing. But I wasn't surprised. I don't like cold soup. I think gazpacho, for example, would be great if it were served hot.
This soup is like a smoothie in a bowl, although not as thick. Although I am not a fan, I still think you should head over to Lettie Mae's if for no other reason than to try it because it is so unique. If you are like me, though and you don't like cold soup, there are plenty of other options. And make sure you order a tea, you won't be sorry.
