Troy 30-C Welcomes New W.B.O. Assistant Principal Lauren Scanlan
Scanlan began the 2020-2021 school year in the position

The Troy Community School District 30-C school board has named Lauren Scanlan as William B. Orenic Intermediate School Assistant Principal.
In her most previous position, Scanlan taught fifth-grade and was the Summer School Principal at Marquardt School District 15 in Glendale Heights, IL. Scanlan also served at Marquardt as sponsor of Student Council and Drama Club, was on the district’s Math and Science Teams, and was coordinator for the district’s Literacy Committee/One Book, One School.
Previously, Scanlan taught at the Milwaukee Teach for America Corps, which is a national nonprofit organization that mobilizes teachers and strengthens the educational equity movement in underserved communities throughout the country.

She received her Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership from Grand Canyon University in 2015. Her teaching endorsements are in English Language Arts, Theatre/Drama and Music.
"I have nothing but positive things to say about Troy School District," Scanlan said. "Our district is truly a community of collaborative learners, from every staff member to each Troy family. I am extremely grateful to call Troy my new home."

Scanlan works with W.B.O. Principal Kelly Landers and the school's other Assistant Principals, Travis Naber and Jessica Knobbe.
