Services offered to students and their families and Troy staff

Troy Community School District 30-C has begun a collaboration with Care Solace, a mental health care coordinator, to help staff and students and their families find providers in the community that offer mental health and substance abuse services.

Care Solace has committed to help the individuals and families navigate the mental health care system, contacting providers to find the right fit and availability. They will help those with private insurance, Medicaid and no insurance and provide the services in any language. The assistance will be free of charge to those who participate.

Troy Coordinator of Student and Family Services, Marc Solodky, said the services are timely, after the return of students to in-person learning during Covid-19 and also the challenges many face due to grief and loss.

“As we continue to progress through the pandemic,” Solodky said, “we recognize now more than ever the importance of maintaining our mental health. Care Solace helps break down the barriers that prevent care from being identified and established, and we are providing this amazing service to the Troy community.”
