Troy students run "Monster Mash Dash"

Timed run offered students chance to progress on fitness goals

Students at Troy Hofer Elementary School this October ran/walked 20 minutes of laps in P.E. teacher Dani Novack’s “Monster Mash Dash.” The Halloween event had background motivational tunes relating to the holiday.

The students pictured, Reid, Kelsie, Quynh and Jocelyn, were among those who are learning the value of slowly working up toward fitness goals, the importance of pacing, and building stamina after the sometimes sedentary period of Covid-19.

“It’s been a big hit,” Novack said. “I like to get them outside as much as I can. It makes me happy to see the students compete and really take it seriously.”
