USF to Offer Free Financial Aid Workshops, Webinar

Attendance is open to the public, as well as prospective and current University of St. Francis students.

JOLIET, IL — The University of St. Francis (USF) will host several workshops and a webinar explaining the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) application process. Staff from USF’s Financial Aid Services department will be available to answer questions concerning the application.

The webinar will be held on Jan. 5 from 4:30-6 p.m. Visit stfrancis.edu for additional information on the webinar.

The workshops will take place in St. Albert Hall, rooms A102 & A112 on the main campus on the following dates:

  • Monday, Jan. 11, 3-7 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Jan. 26, 4-6 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Feb. 2, 4-6 p.m.

Attendance is open to the public, as well as prospective and current USF students. The webinar and workshops are a great resource for anyone considering college for the 2016-17 year. Parents and students should bring the following to complete the application.

  • FSA ID (request at www.fsaid.ed.gov)
  • Social Security numbers
  • Student’s driver’s license number (if applicable)
  • W-2 forms for 2015 and other records of money earned (e.g. final paystubs)
  • Most recent Federal IRS Income Tax Return
  • Untaxed income records for the previous year *Social Security, welfare, veteran’s benefits and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families/TANF
  • Current bank statements
  • Current value documents for business, rental properties and investment mortgages
  • Other information: business and farm records; stock, bond and other investment records
