Village Of Channahon: Hydrant Flushing Beginning August 31

The Village's annual hydrant flushing is scheduled to begin Tuesday, August 31 and will run through October 15. 

During hydrant flushing, some residents may experience temporary water pressure fluctuation and water discoloration; this is a safe, normal part of the hydrant flushing process, but residents may want to consider delaying doing laundry until the lines are clear. Hydrant flushing a is normal preventative maintenance procedure for the Village's water mains and hydrants.
