Will County Forest Preserve District Offers Christmas Tree Recycling
Drop off trees at the following locations through Jan. 10.

From the Forest Preserve District of Will County:
Every year, millions of Christmas trees end up in landfills. However, you can give your tree a second life by recycling it with the Forest Preserve. Your tree will take a new life “path” by becoming mulch used on our trails and for landscaping.
Trees will be accepted every day from Saturday, Dec. 27 through Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. in designated areas of the parking lots at the following Visitor Centers:
- Isle a la Cache Museum in Romeoville
- Monee Reservoir in Monee
- Plum Creek Nature Center in Beecher
- Sugar Creek Administration Center in Joliet
Signage on-site directs visitors to the drop-off locations.
Please remove all tinsel, lights, and ornaments before dropping off your tree.
