Body Found Dead Near Kankakee River: Coroner
The woman's name is being withheld pending positive identification and notification of next of kin.
WILMINGTON, IL — The body of an unidentified female was found along the Kankakee River in Wilmington on Saturday, officials said. The Will County Coroner's office said the person was pronounced dead at 2:45 p.m. Saturday after her body was found near the shoreline on Readman Lane.
An autopsy was scheduled for Monday, according to the coroner's office. The person's name was being withheld pending positive identification and notification of next of kin.
