14-Year-Old Dies After Interstate Crash That Injured 5

The girl died Tuesday after a crash early Sunday on Interstate 290, which sent five people to the hospital, according to authorities.

CHICAGO, IL — A 14-year-old from Chicago's far North Side has died after an interstate crash that occurred over the weekend, according to officials.

Arnelis Flores, of the 4500 block of North Milwaukee Avenue, died about 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed.

Flores was among five victims taken to hospitals following a two-car rollover crash that occurred after 2 a.m. Sunday on the outbound Eisenhower Expressway at Kedzie Avenue, according to authorities.
