14-Year-Old Shot To Death In Chicago: Police

Police found the boy lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso, law enforcement said.

CHICAGO, IL — A 14-year-old was fatally shot overnight in Woodlawn, according to law enforcement.

Police responded shortly after midnight Thursday to shots fired in the 1000 block of East Marquette Road, where they found the boy lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso, law enforcement said. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

A weapon was recovered and witnesses reported seeing a blue minivan flee the area, police said, adding detectives were investigating.
