15-Year-Old Carjacks, Robs 2 Men At Gunpoint: Police

The teen was arrested within minutes, police said.

CHICAGO — A 15-year-old was charged over the weekend with carjacking and robbing two men at gunpoint in Chicago, according to police.

The incident occurred around 11 p.m. Friday in the 5400 block of West Potomac Avenue, police said, where the boy was one of multiple offenders who stole a vehicle and property at gunpoint from the men, ages 48 and 36.

The teen was arrested within minutes in the 4800 block of West Armitage Avenue, according to authorities.

He was charged with aggravated vehicular hijacking, armed robbery, possession of a gun with a defaced serial number, criminal trespass to a vehicle, and possession of ammunition without a valid firearm owner’s identification, police said.
