2 Hurt In 3-Vehicle Crash On I-94 Involving IDOT Contractor: Police

CHICAGO — Two people were injured after a three-vehicle crash Wednesday on Interstate 94 that involved a sedan, a semitrailer and an SUV owned by a state contractor, according to police.

The incident occurred around 10:20 a.m. on the northbound interstate north of 130th Street in Chicago, police said. The sedan drove onto the right shoulder and struck the SUV, which was parked on the shoulder conducting business as an independent contractor for the Illinois Department of Transportation, according to police. The sedan also hit a semitrailer, police said.

Two victims were taken to an area hospital for injuries that were not life-threatening, according to police.
