2 Killed In Suspected Murder-Suicide In Chicago Apartment

A man and a woman were found dead in the hallway of a housing project in Bronzeville Monday.

CHICAGO, IL — Police are investigating the Memorial Day deaths of a man and a woman in a Chicago housing project as a possible murder suicide.

According to abc7, a man shot a woman in the head and then turned the gun on himself just before 11 a.m., on the 2900-block of South State Street. The location is the Dearborn Homes housing project in the Bronzeville neighborhood.

The woman was in her 20s, and the man was in his 30s, according to detectives. Police said the pair were found in the hallway after walking out of an apartment with five kids and other adults inside.

Both the victim and the suspect knew each other and lived in the same building, abc7 reported.
