30 Shot In 3 Hours Sunday In Chicago: Police
Police reported 8 people were shot during one of five mass shootings early Sunday morning.

CHICAGO, IL — Chicago police said 30 people were shot in a three-hour span early Sunday morning, leaving 28 people wounded and two dead. During the same time frame, there were five mass shootings where three or more people were shot, according to police reports obtained by Patch.
During this time, Chicago police reported eight people were shot and wounded during a shooting in a courtyard just before 12:40 a.m. in the 1300 block of West 76th Street. Police said several males came up and started shooting at the group. The victims were taken to local hospitals and are reported in stable condition.
A 26-year-old man was killed after walking on the sidewalk with another male in the 4800 block of South Paulina just after 1 a.m. when a person inside a white Jeep started shooting at them, police reported. Police say the other victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

Then, six people were shot in the 1300 block of South Millard just after 2:30 a.m., and one of the victims, a 17-year-old girl, was pronounced dead at the scene after being shot in the face, police reported. Police added that the victims were standing on the sidewalk when two males approached on foot and fired shots.
