CHICAGO, IL - The summer is almost over. But the fun doesn't stop. Here's what's on tap for the final weekend in Chicago before Labor Day.
Prep Football at Soldier Field: The Bears may be a couple weeks away from getting started, but gridiron excitement at their home stadium begins this Sunday. Take in a triple-header of action as St. Rita plays St. Patrick, Mt. Carmel plays Taft and Brother Rice and Marist go at it in the Pulaski Road Super Bowl.
Billy Joel at Wrigley Field: Pearl Jam’s two-night performance at the Cubs’ home ballpark last week will be a tough act to follow, but if anyone is up for that challenge it’s Billy Joel. The famous “Piano Man” singer will deliver a concert to fans at the park beginning at 8 p.m. on Friday.

Taste of Greektown: Perhaps Chicago’s best food district will share its best eats this weekend on halsted Street in the West Loop on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Athena, The Parthenon and Zeus Gyros are among the most popular Hellenic restaurants that will be on display.
Chicago Dancing Festival: The 10th annual Chicago Dancing Festival will take place at Navy Pier for the first time, a perfect connection for the pier’s 100th anniversary. The public is invited to attend the festival for free from 5:30-7:45 p.m. on Friday. They will be treated to “Planet Chicago,” a world-themed dance program that will showcase several ensembles including Forward Momentum Chicago, Gingarte Capoeira, Chicago Samba and the Muntu Dance Theatre of Chicago.

‘The Boss’ at the United Center: Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will perform at the United Center at 7 p.m. Sunday night. It’s part of The River Tour.
Suburban Honorable Mention:Backlot Bash in Skokie is the year’s most popular event in the northern suburb that borders the city. 18 bands, including Blue Oyster Cult, are expected to perform. Carnival rides, a 5K race an auto show and business expo will also prove fun for residents and visitors.
