5 High Schoolers Taken To Hospitals After Eating Gummies From Dispensary

All the students were expected to recover.

CHICAGO, IL — Five students at a North Side high school were taken to hospitals, one in serious condition, on Wednesday after ingesting gummies, according to authorities.

Emergency personnel responded to Uplift Community High School in the 900 block of West Wilson Avenue after the students ate gummies from a dispensary, according to the Chicago Fire Department, which tweeted about the incident around 3:30 p.m.

All the students were expected to recover.
