5 Injured, Including 2 CPD Officers, In Crash On Dan Ryan Expressway Near 31st Street
Two officers were taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
CHICAGO (CBS) — Two Chicago police officers were among five people injured in a crash on the Dan Ryan Expressway on the South Side early Monday morning, and the driver who caused the crash has been cited for driving under the influence.
Illinois State Police said a 2014 GMC Acadia was headed north on the Dan Ryan near 31st Street around 3:45 a.m., when it rear-ended a Chicago Police Department squad car, causing the squad car to hit a 2008 Jeep Compass, which then hit a concrete dividing wall.
