The “Granddaddy of American Art Festivals” returns to Chicago’s glorious Grant Park on Saturday and Sunday, June 16th and 17th. Celebrating its 61st year, the award-winning Gold Coast Art Fair welcomes 300 juried artists from around the world. Festival attendees will find exceptional artwork at all price points (from $25 to $25,000) in a variety of mediums including painting, ceramics, fiber, jewelry, sculpture, and more!
“The Gold Coast Art Fair is one of Chicago’s most popular summer fests,” said Amy Amdur, president of Amdur Productions and producer of the Gold Coast Art Fair. “The art is truly spectacular and the setting, right in the heart of downtown Chicago just steps from the lakefront, is breathtaking,” she adds. “Hundreds of thousands of people travel from all over the country to experience the Gold Coast Art Fair, meet the artists, and purchase magnificent one-of-a-kind pieces.”
In addition to incredible artwork and on-site artist demonstrations all weekend long, attendees will also enjoy live music, fabulous food and drinks, and interactive activities for kids and adults including spin art and a giant graffiti wall. Food vendors at this year’s Gold Coast Art Fair include Magic Circle Crepes, Buckeye Wraps, Hey Brothers Ice Cream, Popcorn Jester, and Taco Factory. Live entertainment will be found on three stages featuring Chicago favorites Cirrus Falcon, Check With Lucy, and singer/songwriters Robbie Gold, Brian Allison, and Live Wire to name a few.
