The 61st Annual Gold Coast Fashion Award Show

Proceeds Benefit Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago's Molecular Oncology and Bioinformatics Program

The Children’s Service Board (CSB), an affiliated organization of Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, is pleased to announce that its signature event, the 61st Annual Gold Coast Fashion Award Show (GCFAS) will return Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2016 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the urban-chic Revel Fulton Market in Chicago’s West Loop. All proceeds raised will be used to recruit an innovative physician-scientist to lead Lurie Children’s groundbreaking Molecular Oncology and Bioinformatics Program, which will provide cutting-edge individualized care to a wide range of pediatric cancers, especially those resistant to currently available therapies.

“This year the CSB made a $1.5 million commitment over 2.5 years to support personalized medicine to children with a wide range of cancers,” said Kristina Nicolas, GCFAS co-chair. “We are honored to be early investors in Lurie Children's innovative Molecular Oncology and Bioinformatics Program. This investment holds the potential to yield medical breakthroughs that will benefit the lives of current patients and change the future for children in generations to come.”

The evening will begin with a cocktail reception featuring hors d’oeuvres. The night will proceed with the fashion show, which will once again be curated and produced by Chicago fashion legend Susan Glick, Vice President of Women’s Apparel at the Merchandise Mart and by the Gold Coast Fashion Award Show’s long-time partner and sole retail sponsor, Neiman Marcus.
