Boyle and Feinberg began practicing law in Chicago in late 1970’s when the profession was almost entirely male-dominated. Both women separately built esteemed careers and reputations as fierce, but compassionate advocates for clients of wealth. After opposing one another for years in the courtroom and at the negotiating table, they strategically combined strengths and founded Boyle Feinberg P.C. as partners in 2013. Professional accolades both women have received over their distinguished careers include consecutively being named Super Lawyers and Leading Lawyers, as well as to the 10 Best List of Family Law Attorneys. Feinberg has also been listed as one of the Best Lawyers in America.

The partners share a strong background and experience relating to business valuations; tax effective resolutions; executive compensation and performance awards; restricted stock grants and other complex financial aspects of divorce. Clients of the firm include high-level executives, business owners, politicians, professional athletes and other individuals of high-net-worth.

“I have grown to admire Janet’s and Joy’s determination, integrity, sensitivity and tenacity while opposing them in cases; they have a healthy respect for the law, while always at the service of their clients,” Sharma said. “We share these qualities, which will underpin everything we do at Boyle Feinberg Sharma.”

Both Boyle and Feinberg share a mutual respect for Sharma.

“Molly is as tough and eloquent as they come, while having a great attention to detail and the sensitivity that is needed in child custody matters. As a partner, she fortifies the insight, intelligence, humor and strength that have been catalysts to our excellence thus far,” Boyle said.

Feinberg added, “She [Molly] who at a younger age, embodies the best of every aspect of the practice of law, is what we want in a partner, and as part of our team vision. Together, we are honored to share our wisdom and collective strength to find the truth in each case, and provide insightful and creative solutions for our clients.”

Candace Meyers is the fourth partner at the firm, has been an attorney since 2004 and named as both a Super Lawyer and Leading Lawyer. She and Sharma are looked to as the next generation of leadership for Boyle Feinberg Sharma.

“Within our new firm, we will continue to mentor and encourage our team to reach higher, and grow into the future leaders in our field,” Sharma said. “We are steadfast in consistently sharing our strengths and knowledge with one another, for the benefit of our clients and our firm.”

Meyers added, “The depth, breadth and years of experience our partners bring to our growing firm creates a collaborative, dynamic and empowering environment where all of us will continue to thrive and flourish.”

Each of the four partners, in addition to the four associate attorneys with the firm, are women. When asked if this was an intentional decision, Feinberg said definitively, “We have chosen to work with the best, the brightest and the most dynamic lawyers in the field.”
