After a Cool Friday, Weekend Warmup Expected: Weekend Weather
A look at the forecast for the Chicago area for the coming days.

CHICAGO, IL — Expect cooler temperatures on Friday, but temps are expected to warm through the weekend, reaching near 70 degrees by Sunday for portions of the Chicago area.
Rain showers are possible near Lake Michigan and in the southern suburbs on Friday morning, according to the National Weather Service. The rest of the weekend is expected to be dry for the Chicago area.
Temps are only expected to reach a high in the lower 50s for the Chicago area on Friday while temps will make it to the upper 50s on Saturday. On Sunday, temps could reach highs in the upper 60s.

- Friday: Some cloudiness with scattered showers near the lake and in the southern suburbs this morning. Clearing this afternoon. Highs in the lower 50s. Northwest winds 10 to 20 mph.
- Friday night: Mostly clear. Lows in the upper 30s in the suburbs... But in the lower 40s downtown. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph.
- Saturday: Mostly sunny in the morning then becoming partly cloudy. Highs in the upper 50s. Southwest winds 5 to 10 mph.
- Saturday Night: Clear. Lows in the mid 40s in the suburbs...but in the upper 40s downtown. Southwest winds 5 to 10 mph.
- Sunday: Sunny. Highs in the upper 60s. Southwest winds 10 to 15 mph.
- Sunday Night: Mostly clear. Lows in the mid 40s in the suburbs...but in the upper 40s downtown.
- Monday: Mostly sunny. Highs in the upper 50s.
