Alderman Uses N-Word in Critique of Rahm Emanuel
17th Ward representative David Moore used the word to describe Emanuel's view of blacks after firing of Principal Troy LaRaviere.

CHICAGO, IL - An African-American Chicago City Council representative is promising “answers” to a question he’s been getting a lot over the last few days.
That would be, “Why did you use the N-Word on Facebook?”
First-term 17th Ward Ald. David Moore used the word on April 21 to describe how Mayor Rahm Emanuel sees African-Americans in light of the recent firing of Blaine Elementary School Principal Troy LaRaviere. LaRaviere has been one of Emanuel’s most vocal critics on education policies and was fired unexpectedly during the Lake View school’s spring break.
“I am totally appalled at this move,” wrote Moore, who was first elected to the City Council in 2015. “Not one elected official, who cares about the education of our children, should remain silent about this DICTATORIAL move!”
“All I hear is, stay in your place N-----, and don't you dare challenge the DICTATORIAL AUTHORITY designed to put corporate profits over effective public education.”
The N-Word in the post was spelled out in all capital letters.

Moore, who represents constituents in Auburn Gresham and parts of Englewood on the South Side, refused to apologize for using the word or explain why he did when asked prior to a City Council Zoning Committee meeting on Tuesday, according to the Sun-Times.
While not giving an actual “answer,” he did say the word “answer” a whole lot.
“With all due respect, you’re gonna get all the answers,” Moore said. “I’m gonna answer it all at the right time. And it’ll be this week. It’ll be this week where you get all of those answers. I promise you. And I’ll come and get you first. I’m gonna come and get you and I’ll give you all the answers. I’m going to give you all of the answers. All of them. You will get all of the answers.”
