Allstate to Hire 400 at New Innovation Hub at Merchandise Mart

Northbrook-based company will open 45,000 square-foot space downtown.

CHICAGO, IL - Allstate has announced plans to expand to downtown Chicago with a new 45,000-square-foot innovation hub inside the Merchandise Mart, a commercial building on the north side of the Chicago River.

The plan will bring nearly 400 jobs to Chicago with the company’s Quantitative Research and Analysis and Connected Car teams, Allstate announced Tuesday.

“This move builds on our success in changing the insurance marketplace by providing the most cutting-edge products and services for consumers,” said Thomas J. Wilson, Allstate’s chairman and chief executive officer. “We’re expanding our world-class technology and data capabilities to help us better serve our customers, advance public safety and improve the quality of life on our roadways, in our homes and in our workplaces.”

According to a news release, the innovation hub will “support Allstate’s hiring of more top quantitative scientists and innovation specialists.”
