CHICAGO — Think you can watch all 104 World Cup matches this summer? Fox Sports is offering one fan $50,000 to prove it. Before that marathon begins, Chicago fans can get a practice run when the United States men's national soccer team takes on Germany June 6 at Soldier Field.

FOX One, the official streaming platform of the tournament, is teaming up with hiring platform Indeed in a nationwide search to fill the position of "FOX One Chief World Cup Watcher Hired Through Indeed." According to Fox Sports, the job entails the person chosen to watch every match from their personal office, which will be a "custom-built, dream viewing space" glass cube in the middle of Times Square, New York.

Applicants are being asked to update or create an Indeed profile to include any relevant experience and skills and share a short video detailing why they're the ideal person for the job. Applications will be accepted through May 17.

Fox Sports said the hired applicant will begin work on June 6, which is the same day the USMNT plays at Soldier Field. Germany, four-time World Cup winners, are among the favorites in the tournament. The highest the United States has ever finished in the World Cup was third in the 1930 edition.

For the USMNT, the friendly match in Chicago will serve as the team's final tune-up for the World Cup, which occurs every four years. Fans will get an opportunity to "send-off" America's team with the United States, Mexico and Canada serving as hosts of the tournament.

Among the expected standouts for the USMNT in the World Cup are Weston McKennie (midfielder), Christian Pulisic (forward) and Folarin Balogun (striker). For Germany, keep an eye on Jamal Musiala (midfielder), Kai Havertz (forward) and Nico Schlotterbeck (defender).

The USMNT has an all-time record of four wins, eight losses, no draws against Germany, which last won the World Cup in 2014.

Tickets for the match at Soldier Field, which is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m., are available at Ticketmaster.

The USMNT begin play in the World Cup on June 12 against Paraguay in Los Angeles. Germany's tournament start on June 14 versus Cuaraco in Houston, Texas.

According to Fox Sports, the "FOX One Chief World Cup Watcher Hired Through Indeed" will serve in the position through July 26, one week after the tournament concludes. The hire will be announced during the June 6 Fox broadcast of a MLB game between the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox.
