Body Found In Garbage Container: Chicago Police

CHICAGO — A person was found dead over the weekend in a garbage container on Chicago’s West Side, according to police.

The deceased, a male, was discovered unresponsive around 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the 4700 block of West Arthington Street, police said, adding he was pronounced dead at the scene.

As of Sunday, the cause and manner of death were pending, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Detectives are investigating, police said.
