The Andersonville Chamber of Commerce (ACC) is pleased to present its 22nd annual Andersonville Arts Weekend, with the neighborhood transformed into a "walkable art gallery" from Friday, September 25 – Sunday, September 27, 2026. The free, three-day event includes over 30 businesses and more than 50 artists representing multiple genres including visual art, theatre, dance, music, makers, student art and public art.
Returning Arts Weekend mainstays include a Self-Guided Art Walk on all three days, plus the popular Night of Parties, an evening of artist receptions, kicking off Friday, 9/25 at 5 pm. The weekend culminates with Andersonville's annual Fall Wine Walk on Sunday, 9/27 from 2 – 5 pm (because art and wine are the perfect pairing!)
Arts Weekend Special Events
Andersonville Chamber of Commerce hosts its annual Arts Weekend Pop-Up featuring artists creating in a variety of mediums and styles on Friday 9/25 from 5 – 9 pm; Saturday 9/26 & Sunday 9/27 from 11 am – 6 pm. (5706 N. Clark St.)
Early to Bed hosts a Mini Maker's Market on Saturday 9/26 and Sunday 9/27 from 1 – 6 pm (5138 N. Clark St., 18+)
The Swedish American Museum, in collaboration with GUS® | Original Gus Giordano Dance School, hosts a Block Party, celebrating the 25th birthday of Brunk Children's Museum of Immigration on Saturday, 9/26 from 12 – 4 pm on Farragut (just north of the Museum). Enjoy games, crafts, balloons, a bouncy house and Swedish food from Mormors Café. 3 pm: GUS® dance performance. 4 pm: cake at the Museum. The Children's Museum is open until 5 pm.
Take a free Andersonville Walking Tour hosted byChicago by Chicagoans. Discover the history, landmarks and famous water tower of a neighborhood that's well-known for its Swedish roots. Learn about generations of small businesses, iconic traditions, lovely historic mansions and the community's long-standing reputation as a haven for LGBTQ+ Chicagoans. Aville Grows, Andersonville' community garden, will host a Movie Night Double Feature on Friday 9/25 at 5339 N. Ashland Ave. 6:45 pm: Steel Magnolias. 9 pm: The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Free popcorn. First come, first served. Bring your own chairs and blankets.
Enjoy the final Andersonville Vintage Market of the 2026 season on Sunday 9/27 from 11 am – 5 pm at 1600 W. Catalpa and the St. Gregory parking lot. Shop for antiques, home décor, jewelry, clothing, accessories, vinyl and other bric-a-brac from local retailers.
Neighborhood and nearby theatre productions taking place during Arts Weekend include Black Girl from a White Suburbat American Blues Theater, Black Bear Island at Bramble Arts Loft, The Infinite Wrench at Neo-Futurists, I AM: A Movement Story at Chicago Danztheatre Ensemble, Witch presented by Idle Muse Company at The Edge Theater, PRAYER CIRCLE at Redtwist Theatre, Bonnie's Last Flight at Rivendell Theatre Ensemble and The Birth of a Pill at TimeLine Theatre.

Kick off the weekend by celebrating the collaboration with this year's artists at the popular Night of Parties, featuring a series of hosted events throughout the neighborhood beginning Friday 9/25 at 5 pm. Fall Wine Walk
Andersonville Arts Weekend culminates with Andersonville's popular Fall Wine Walk, transforming local businesses into charming wine-tasting destinations on Sunday, September 27 from 2 – 5 pm. This year's event include two routes – "Bunch of Grapes" and "Off the Vine." Tickets ($40 per route) are now on sale through the Andersonsonville Wine Walk Page. Check in is between 1 – 4 pm at the Andersonville Vintage Market at 1600 W. Catalpa.
