ANDERSONVILLE MIDSOMMARFEST Returns June 10 – 12, 2022
Full Entertainment Line-Up and Vendors Announced!

Following a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Andersonville Chamber of Commerce (ACC) is pleased to bring back Andersonville Midsommarfest, one of Chicago’s oldest and most beloved summer street festivals. Now in its 56th year, the annual festival will be held June 10 – 12, 2022 along Andersonville’s Clark Street corridor from Catalpa Ave. to Foster Ave.
For three nights and two days, this vibrant and diverse community will bring together over 75,000 people to celebrate a proud Swedish summer tradition with over 60 music and entertainment acts on five stages, an eclectic mix of vendors, food and free kids’ activities.
Midsommarfest takes place Friday, June 10 from 5 pm – 10 pm and continues Saturday, June 11 and Sunday, June 12 from 12 pm – 10 pm. New this year, Friday night’s festivities will expand an additional three blocks from Catalpa all the way Foster, instead of ending at Summerdale as in previous years.

Friday’s headliners include The Prince Experience and Rod Tuffcurls and The Bench Press.
The fun continues Saturday with headliners including Ratboys, Chicago Soul Spectacular, Dancing Queen: An ABBA Salute and Dos Santos. The festival wraps up Sunday with top acts including Too Much Molly Band, Lil Ed & The Blues Imperials, Sam Thousand & The Soul Vortex and Sixteen Candles. The Summerdale Stage is sponsored by Rattleback Records and BMO Harris Bank on Saturday and Sunday. See the weekend’s full entertainment line-up below!

As always, Midsommarfest will celebrate Andersonville’s Swedish culture and history. The Swedish Stage at Clark & Foster will feature traditional Swedish activities throughout the weekend, including the traditional dance around the Midsommar Maypole, along with Swedish choirs and dance groups. The Swedish American Museum will offer free admission during the festival and serve delicious Swedish cuisine in the Gallery.
Admission to the Midsommarfest is a $15 donation. Proceeds from admission and beer sales benefit the Andersonville Chamber of Commerce, along with several local non-profit organizations including Babes With Blades Theatre Company, Care For Real, Friends of Andersonville, Friends of Chappell, Helix Education, Lakeside Pride, Windy City Performing Arts, local block clubs and others. Historically, Andersonville has donated back more than $20,000 to these participating organizations. Festivalgoers can also pick up a complimentary new copy of the 2022-23 Andersonville Neighborhood Guide at the Andersonville Chamber Booth located at Berwyn and Clark.
