Andrew Ladd is Back with the Blackhawks

Trade with Winnipeg Jets brings back fan favorite from 2010.

CHICAGO, IL - The Chicago Blackhawks’ quest for a fourth Stanley Cup title in the 2010s will get a boost from a member of the first.

Winger Andrew Ladd, who played for the Blackhawks from 2008 to 2010 and was on the 2010 Stanley Cup winning team, was brought in Thursday via a trade with the Winnipeg Jets, according to the Chicago Tribune and other media reports.

Ladd, who was in the final year of his contract with the Jets, was one of the most sought-after names ahead of the NHL’s trade deadline. The Blackhawks sent Marko Dano, a first-round pick in the 2016 NHL Draft (which will be in Chicago) and a conditional pick in the 2018 draft to Winnipeg to bring back Ladd.
