Anti-Donald Trump Rally Planned in Chicago for Inauguration Day
Organizers describe the protest at Daley Plaza as "a shot across the bow" at Trump's incoming political agenda.

CHICAGO, IL — Activists are organizing a downtown protest rally during Donald Trump's inauguration, calling it "a shot across the bow" against the president-elect's proposed agenda and policies.
"Resist Trump: Occupy Inauguration Chicago" — organized by Chicago Socialist Alternative and the Chicago Movement for the 99% — will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, at Daley Plaza, 50 W. Washington St., according to the rally's posting on the groups' Facebook pages. The Chicago rally is one of a series of anti-Trump protests across the country planned for Inauguration Day. Other events include a rally in Washington, D.C., and a national walkout of high school and college students.
"We want Trump to worry that if he proceeds with his agenda against immigrants, women, Muslims, and workers rights that he will provoke even further struggle," the event's description stated. "Moreover, we want him and the entire establishment to worry that working people are gaining the confidence to take even further independent and radical action."
