The full schedule for the 2026 season will be released Thursday night, with reports Chicago may also be playing on Christmas.

CHICAGO — If your holidays weren't fun enough already, the Chicago Bears are hoping to spread some cheer for fans this upcoming NFL season. The league will release its full schedule Thursday night, but is already highlighting a few games ahead of that 7 p.m. event.
The Bears are scheduled to travel to Detroit on Thanksgiving Day for a contest with the NFC North rival Lions. Kickoff at Ford Field is scheduled for noon on Thursday, Nov. 26. Except for a five-year hiatus during World War II, Detroit has hosted games on Thanksgiving since 1934.
The last time the two teams played on Thanksgiving was on Nov. 28, 2024, with the Lions coming out on top 23-20. Chicago and Detroit have played each other 20 times on Thanksgiving, with the Bears holding the edge in the series, 11-9.
