Man Commits Suicide On CTA Tracks: Police

Trains were stopped in both directions Tuesday morning after a body was found on the tracks.

CHICAGO, IL — Brown, Red and Purple Line CTA trains were stopped in both directions at Fullerton Avenue Tuesday morning after a body was found on the tracks. Chicago police said the victim is a man in his 40s. His body was discovered on the tracks at around 6:30 a.m.

Police said a preliminary investigation indicates the man's death is a suicide.

The CTA said service on all three lines was suspended, instructing commuters to use buses 22, 36 and the Lake Shore Express routes.
