'Suspicious Package,' Bomb Threat at Illinois Air Force Base Resolved | Update
"Suspicious package" shuts down clinic, surrounding area.

As of shortly after 5:30 p.m. Monday, Scott Air Force Base, the bomb threat had been resolved, personnel said on social media:
"Scott AFB has lifted the 1500 foot cordon and shelter in place restrictions for both the bomb threat at the Medical Clinic and the suspicious package incident at the James Gym, which has been resolved. Security Forces, fire and Explosive Ordnance teams are still sweeping the Medical Clinic compound with a 500 foot cordon there. All personnel are asked to stay clear of that area."

]The 375th Medical Clinic has been evacuated due to a bomb threat at Scott Air Force Base in St. Clair County, Illinois.

At around 4 p.m., staff posted on Facebook that the clinic was closed due to emergency and all appointments would be rescheduled.
Scott Air Force base said authorities were responding to a suspicious package left near a gym near the clinic.
“Scott AFB is responding to a bomb threat at the 375th Medical Clinic, which has been evacuated,” base personnel said on social media. “Fire, Security Forces and the Explosive Ordnance teams are on scene and assessing the situation. In addition, buildings within a 500-foot cordon in the Medical Clinic compound have also been evacuated. Security Forces have secured the area and personnel are asked to stay clear of the area until further notice.”
A 1,500-foot cordon was set up outside the clinic, staff said.
Scott Air Force Base is located near Belleville, Illinois, and O’Fallon, Missouri.
