Polar Plunge® Chicago, benefiting Special Olympics Illinois and presented by Special Children’s Charities, returns to North Avenue Beach on Sunday, March 1. Thousands of brave participants will once again take the icy leap into Lake Michigan to support two impactful organizations working together to raise funds for individuals with intellectual disabilities living in Chicago.
Registration is now open at specialchildrenscharities.org. Participants are asked to raise a minimum of $200. All registered plungers will receive free parking at Lincoln Park Zoo or a free bus for groups of 20 or more; a souvenir T-shirt; a towel upon exiting the water; and free photo downloads. High school–aged plungers (17 and under) may register for $100 per person.
Onsite registration will also be available, though participants are strongly encouraged to register in advance.
