ESC's Darryl Maximilian Robinson Provides His Major-General Stanley In THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE

Aire, the iconic rooftop bar situated atop the Hyatt Centric Loop Chicago, 100 W Monroe Street, returns this summer with new daily specials, DJ Sunset Sessions, Concerts Under the Stars, and more. Opening Monday, May 11th, Aire will kick off Summer 2026 with new additions to the menu including a collaboration with Dovetail Brewery. Guests can look forward to weekly specials for after-work relaxation, a lineup of live music experiences, and a continued commitment to offering one of the city’s premier open-air experiences. 
On select Friday nights, Aire will welcome visitors to enjoy Sunset Sessions, featuring a live DJ spinning house music during golden hour. Back by popular demand, the rooftop will host the Concert Under the Stars series with performances every Sunday evening. This beloved series showcases top-tier tribute performances, celebrating legends like Sinatra, ABBA, Beyoncé, Amy Winehouse, and more. This year Aire introduces The Sunset Club presented by Neon Paddle; this brand-new club is the perfect way to celebrate the summer. On the first Saturday of every month guests can experience a sense of being transported to a tropical paradise with a live DJ and signature drinks at sunset. DJ's include Aced Spade, DJ Miriam, Adonia, Freddy Phatz, Kid Clay, and MDok. Tickets start at $10.

The menu this season features new options including Korean BBQ Tacos and a newly crafted drink from Dovetail Brewery. Unwind in the warm summer air with this new collaboration, the Summer Hopfenlager, a refreshing new drink that was specially brewed for the Aire rooftop. Dovetail Brewery was founded by Master brewers Hagen Dost and Bill Wesselink in Chicago in May of 2016. Focusing on continental European styles and traditional methods, each Dovetail beer is handcrafted to play on all the senses. Aire also offers a variety of RTDs, local drafts, and curated wine selections to complement the dining experience.

Covering the entire West, South, and East facing sides of Aire, the iconic Chicago-inspired mural features inspiring modern techniques, such as the use of UV-light-sensitive paints, which transform the mural from daytime to evening. The painting depicts a&nbsp;woman looking at the landscape, her eyes cast on a lighthouse on the horizon. By day it is a window on an idyllic and relaxing scenery, by night it lights up in blue, revealing its mysterious side. The artwork covers an area of 350 square meters, which is the entire outer wall of the 24th floor of the Hyatt Centric Loop.

Sounds Good Choir is a nonprofit organization with two incredible choral programs. Sounds Good is Chicagoland's largest no-audition choral program for adults 55+. It's fun,&nbsp; good for you (health and well-being benefits are associated with singing in a group), and we're a&nbsp;warm, welcoming community of people who love to sing.&nbsp;Good Memories is the only choir in Illinois for persons with early-stage dementia and their care partners to sing together. The lively, fun, and supportive&nbsp;program is designed especially for those with memory loss. The show runs one weekend only, Friday and Saturday, May 15 and 16 at 7:30pm and Sunday, May 17 at 2pm at Goodman Theatre's Alice Center for Education and Engagement, 170 N. Dearborn.&nbsp; Tickets are $20 (General) and $15 (students and people with disabilities).
Six writers, performers and artists share pithy solo performances based on their personal stories about living with a disability. They were created in a six-week Master Class taught by Tekki Lomnicki, Artistic Director of Tellin’ Tales Theatre.

Gold Coast Sounds Good Choir

Chicagoland's largest no-audition choral program for adults "55 and better" has nine choirs throughout Chicago and the suburbs, including the Gold Coast. Conducted by Jonathan Miller, the choir rehearses and performs at the beautiful, historic Fourth Presbyterian Church on Chicago's Magnificent Mile, 126 E. Chestnut Ave. Three sessions a year are offered -- two 15-week sessions in the fall and spring, and one 8-week session in the summer). All sessions include: a weekly 90-minute rehearsal with an additional (optional) online Friday rehearsal; guidance and instruction by professional conductors and accompanists; licensed sheet music; accessible rehearsal and performance venues; and free, public performances by each choir. Registered singers are also free to rehearse and perform with as many of the nine choirs as they wish for just one registration fee per session. Scholarships are readily available -- call the Sounds Good office at 630.395.9542 to apply. Sounds Good Choir also offers the only choir in Illinois for adults with early-stage dementia and their care partners. The Good Memories program is specifically designed to provide a safe, welcoming community in which to sing, socialize, and have fun.
