The Belmont-Sheffield Music Fest kicks off Chicago’s iconic summer festival season with a weekend packed full of local and national talent. Steps away from the red line “EL” train’s Belmont stop, the festival takes over the heart of the popular Lakeview East neighborhood. Don’t miss top Midwest tribute bands on two stages, great eats, libations (beer and wine), and artisans. Vendors include Joyee Creations (crochet items), One Man, One Garage (wood items),Tori Grace Outfitters (Chicago-themed handcrafted items),Polar Bare Bath (bath and soaps) and Pocket Square Clothing (pocket squares).
Also, expect eclectic entertainment near Belmont filled with fun neighborhood music acts, deejays and other performers. Headliners include Stache, Rod Tuffcurls &amp; The Bench Press, Hello Weekend, Good Country, Trippin Billies, MellenCougar and more!
A $10 suggested donation upon entry benefits the Lakeview East Chamber of Commerce. “We are so excited to be hosting this Chicago tradition that celebrates the start of summer,” said Maureen Martino, Executive Director of the Lakeview East Chamber of Commerce. “<a href="https://www.saveourstreetfests.org/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Thanks to all fest attendees, the suggested gate donation helps to keep these annual fests going strong for all to enjoy</a>. <a href="https://randolphstreetmarket.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">The Randolph Street Market Festival</a>&nbsp;returns to Chicago’s West Loop for the launch of its 2026 season with the 23rd Annual Garden Party Market on Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24, from 10 AM to 5 PM at 1341 W Randolph St. This indoor-outdoor treasure hunt will feature more than 200 dealers, delicious global eats, and nonstop live entertainment, rain or shine.. Gold Coast Sounds Good Choir

Chicagoland's largest no-audition choral program for adults "55 and better" has nine choirs throughout Chicago and the suburbs, including the Gold Coast. Conducted by Jonathan Miller, the choir rehearses and performs at the beautiful, historic Fourth Presbyterian Church on Chicago's Magnificent Mile, 126 E. Chestnut Ave. Three sessions a year are offered -- two 15-week sessions in the fall and spring, and one 8-week session in the summer). All sessions include: a weekly 90-minute rehearsal with an additional (optional) online Friday rehearsal; guidance and instruction by professional conductors and accompanists; licensed sheet music; accessible rehearsal and performance venues; and free, public performances by each choir. Registered singers are also free to rehearse and perform with as many of the nine choirs as they wish for just one registration fee per session. Scholarships are readily available -- call the Sounds Good office at 630.395.9542 to apply. Sounds Good Choir also offers the only choir in Illinois for adults with early-stage dementia and their care partners. The Good Memories program is specifically designed to provide a safe, welcoming community in which to sing, socialize, and have fun.
