James Beard Award Nominee® Carnitas Ramirez Takes on Michelin-Starred Nōksu
Experience a collision of culinary worlds where New York street food culture meets underground fine dining, as Mexican chef Giovanni Cervantes of Taqueria Ramirez and chef Aaron Chang of the Michelin-starred Nōksu (representing South Korea) face off in the kitchen.
Nōksu is the sleek tasting counter hidden inside NYC’s Herald Square subway station whose pristine, modern Korean menus have been celebrated by Eater, The Infatuation, and The New York Times. For this special partnership, chef Chang brings his refined technique to meet chef Cervantes, the 2026 James Beard Award nominee® for Best Chef: New York State behind beloved East Village taco temple Carnitas Ramirez. Moving away from the meat-centric dishes that put him on the map, Cervantes will showcase an exclusive first look at his team's highly anticipated, seafood-forward concept debuting in the West Village this year. Expect a boundary-pushing, seasonal menu that marries high-end Korean artistry with coastal Mexican inspiration—a unique snapshot of two talented chefs collaborating on a singular menu.
This one-night-only dinner will feature a cocktail reception with passed hors d'oeuvre upon arrival, an expertly crafted multi-course menu with thoughtfully curated wine or beverage pairings, and a Q&A with the featured chefs.
Price: Dining Table $250 | Internal Chef's Counter $290 | External Chef's Counter $195
