A Celebration of Trinidadian and Guyanese Flavors and Foodways

Trinidadian chef Osei “Picky” Blackett is teaming up with 2026 James Beard Award nominee® Tavel Bristol-Joseph of Texas’s acclaimed Emmer & Rye Hospitality Group.

Born and raised in Trinidad and Tobago, chef Blackett is the driving force behind Brooklyn’s modern Caribbean dining scene, recognized for his work at Ariapita and Everything Oxtail. Guyanese-born Tavel Bristol-Joseph, a Food & Wine “Best New Chefs” alum, helms concepts in Austin and San Antonio that have earned widespread national recognition. Together, Blackett and Bristol-Joseph will showcase their individual expertise in culinary and pastry, respectively, with a menu that spotlights the diversity, history, and depth of Trinidadian and Guyanese foodways.   

This one-night-only dinner will feature a cocktail reception with passed hors d'oeuvre upon arrival, an expertly crafted multi-course menu with thoughtfully curated wine or beverage pairings, and a Q&A with the featured chefs.
