Marriott Theatre for Young Audiences, 10 Marriott Drive, Lincolnshire, presents its next delightful adventure with the musical A YEAR WITH FROG AND TOAD, based on Arnold Lobel’s beloved children’s books. Filled with warmth, humor, and timeless lessons about friendship, this charming production will enchant theatregoers of all ages, running July 10 through August 9, with the press opening on Saturday, July 18 at 10 a.m. The 60-minute musical journey is directed and choreographed by Elizabeth Romero, with musical direction by Jeff Award Winner, Ryan Nelson. Each performance will be followed by a question‑and‑answer session with the cast. 
This production of A YEAR WITH FROG AND TOAD stars Karl Hamilton as “Toad,” Jason Richards as “Frog," Marta Bady as “Turtle,” Sunnie Eraso as “Mouse,” Tommy Rivera-Vega as “Snail.” Understudies include Abraham Dietz-Green, Teddy Gales (“Toad” beginning July 31), and Teah Kiang Mirabelli. 
The Marriott Theatre for Young Audiences team is led by Associate Artistic Director Katie Johannigman, with Associate Director &amp; Choreographer Margot Frank, Scenic Design by Wynn Lee, Costume Designer Christina Leinicke, Lighting Designer Conchita Avitia, Sound Designer Michael Daly, Props Designer Cecilia Chan, Wig, Hair and Makeup Designer Miguel Armstrong, and Stage Manager Kat Barrett. 
A YEAR WITH FROG AND TOAD runs most Thursdays through Sundays at 10 a.m.. An ASL‑interpreted performance will take place on August 8 at 10 a.m.

Gold Coast Sounds Good Choir

Chicagoland's largest no-audition choral program for adults "55 and better" has nine choirs throughout Chicago and the suburbs, including the Gold Coast. Conducted by Jonathan Miller, the choir rehearses and performs at the beautiful, historic Fourth Presbyterian Church on Chicago's Magnificent Mile, 126 E. Chestnut Ave. Three sessions a year are offered -- two 15-week sessions in the fall and spring, and one 8-week session in the summer). All sessions include: a weekly 90-minute rehearsal with an additional (optional) online Friday rehearsal; guidance and instruction by professional conductors and accompanists; licensed sheet music; accessible rehearsal and performance venues; and free, public performances by each choir. Registered singers are also free to rehearse and perform with as many of the nine choirs as they wish for just one registration fee per session. Scholarships are readily available -- call the Sounds Good office at 630.395.9542 to apply. Sounds Good Choir also offers the only choir in Illinois for adults with early-stage dementia and their care partners. The Good Memories program is specifically designed to provide a safe, welcoming community in which to sing, socialize, and have fun.
