The public is invited to join Advocate Health Care gastroenterologist Dr. Andrew Albert, community members and colon cancer survivors at a free block party featuring live music, a food truck and information on colorectal cancer screening options, prevention measures and early detection. Experts will be available to answer questions.
All eligible adults in attendance will receive a no-cost at-home stool test kit. This test checks for blood in the stool, a symptom that can indicate polyps in the colon, which can change over time and become cancerous.
