Capri Sun Recalled, May Contain Cleaning Solution
The recall affects nearly 6,000 cases of the beverage.
CHICAGO, IL — Nearly 6,000 cases of Capri Sun are being recalled after a cleaning solution was accidentally added to the beverage production line, Kraft Heinz announced Friday.
The voluntary recall affects about 5,760 cases of Capri Sun Wild Cherry Flavored Juice Drink Blend beverages with a best-by date of June 25, 2023. The affected beverages are in 6.6-ounce foil pouches packed in paperboard cartons.
“The voluntary recall comes after diluted cleaning solution, which is used on food processing equipment, was inadvertently introduced into a production line at one of our factories,” said the company, which has headquarters in Chicago and Pittsburgh, in a news release.
