Car Crashes Into Glenview Metra Station
UPDATE: A 75-year-old Niles woman drove a minivan into a warming hut Wednesday afternoon.

GLENVIEW, IL — Metra commuter trains were slowed on the Milwaukee District Northern Line on Wednesday afternoon after a minivan crashed into the Glenview Metra station. Police said a 75-year-old Niles woman was driving a Toyota Sienna northbound on Lehigh Avenue when she left the road and hit a warming hut on the west side of the station. There were no passengers in the vehicle and the driver declined to taken to the hospital. No one else was involved or injured in the incident.
The minivan's driver was issued three citations for traffic offenses: failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, speeding and failure to stop for a stop sign, according to Glenview police.
