Cardinal Health Presents 700 Care Kits to Families at Ronald McDonald House

Healthcare group sends personal items to parents of children at Lurie Children's Hospital.

CHICAGO, IL - Cardinal Health Specialty Solutions delivered more than 700 personal care package kits to families at the Ronald McDonald House near the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital this week.

The kits included shampoo, conditioner, lotion, antiperspirant/deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrush, and brush.

Included were personal notes of support or encouragement.

“We hope these care packages can make life a bit easier for families who are going through a difficult time,” said Jennifer Fillman, VP of specialty services for Cardinal Health. “The cancer doctors, nurses, and other clinical specialists who helped build these kits send their best wishes to Ronald McDonald House Charities and to the families who are fighting pediatric cancer.”

For many parents and caregivers, the Ronald McDonald House it their home away from home. They remain there overnight as their child fights pediatric cancer at the Lurie Children’s Hospital.
