Carjackers Strike Multiple Vehicles While Fleeing Cops On Dan Ryan: PD

CHICAGO, IL — A carjacking led to multiple rush hour crashes Wednesday on the Dan Ryan Expressway, according to police.

A vehicle was carjacked before 5 p.m. in the area of South Canalport Avenue and southbound Interstate 94, police said. Officers pursued the vehicle, which got into multiple crashes in the express lanes of southbound Interstate 94 at 71st Street, according to police.

The occupants of the stolen vehicle eventually fled on foot, police said.
