Chance Of Storms Saturday, Less Humid Weather On Sunday In IL

A cold front will move through the area on Saturday, bringing the next best chance for precipitation, the weather service said.

ILLINOIS — The warmer temperatures and humidity will continue through the weekend, and a chance of storms is also possible, according to the National Weather Service.

Friday, which has a high of 91 degrees, has a small chance of isolated showers and a thunderstorm in the afternoon, near Interstate 90, according to the weather service. Additional showers and isolated storms are also possible after midnight.

Saturday has a high of 87, and there is a chance of storms during the day and Saturday night, the weather service said. A cold front will move through the area on Saturday, bringing the next best chance for precipitation, the weather service said. The cold front will also bring more comfortable weather for Sunday.

Sunday looks to be less humid, and temps will be slightly lower with a high of 84 and in the upper 70s by the lake, according to the weather service. Sunday should be dry and sunny, before storm chances return on Monday.
